Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I was sent a check for 3,970.00 by priority mail very excited but notice no letter or information of any kind accompany the check lol.Was not even in an envelop just check floating in this big priority mail package.Their was a man of bank on check Bancrop bank no address of bank,first time I called bank gentlemen asked for route number he told me it’s good go cash second time I called and ask if by giving him the routing number if he could see if the check was good I was told that he couldn’t give me info.Spook to same man both times I call at least it sound like the same man the number for th AN Management Services phone disconnected.Can you let me know what you find out about this issue please thank you for your time.
