Type of a scam Phishing
Ad came as a message on my cell. AMP DRINK asking for me to display ad on my car for three months at 600 a week pay. I received a check fir 3600 and they TOLD me to deposit to ATM and send them a copy of receipt. They told me to withdraw 600 for myself 24 hrs later and send 3000 to company of person that is installing decal on my car. Red Flags: 1. them telling me to deposit to ATM and send them copy of receipt.
2. Withdraw $600 within 24 hrs and send remainder, $3000 to another party ( ad installer). If they need to pay for ad installation, they can do it themselves.
3. IT TAKES LONGER THan 24 hrs fir a check to clear. Usually 5-7 days… meanwhile If I would take money out fir myself and send remainder to someone else before check actually clears??? My PERSONAL FUNDS would be on hold and then taken by Bank to cover bogus check . OUCH
