Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

I was contacted via text message and email in reference to my loan. They had my information from the site in which I was trying to obtain the loan from. It was a third party vendor. They verified my information and asked for my bank account username and password. Which I thought was odd because I had never been asked that before more people use 3rd party verification for account access. Reluctantly I gave it to them. After speaking for a few moments longer they said they would give me a call back in 30 minutes to inform me on whether I was approved or not. After about an I hour I tried calling back but there was no answer. So I decided to go online and call a number from their website, when I called I was informed by a real representative that they didn’t see a loan for me, in fact they didn’t even provide loans outside of the state of Ohio. I live in South Carolina.
