American sweepstakes company claim they are connected with Walmart. They said I won $750,000.00. They said it was under federal investigation cause someone else tried to cash it. I was told to have the check insured to be delivered safely, Ineeded to pay a $3000 deposit. I said I don’t have it. They said I could make payments of $500 a month to have the check released. I said I don’t have it. They asked me to ask family and friends for the funds. They would call back in an hour. They gave a claim number of: FDIC005570 and gave a US counsel number of 305-704-2449.

After identifying themselves as American Sweepstakes Company, where dreams turn to reality. They claim I am this month’s (April) lucky winner of $2.5 million and a bonus prize of a 2019 Mercedes-Benz. To call their claim department at (516) 268-1047 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday.

I have never entered into a sweepstakes with this company or any name like it.

A man by the names James Franks called and stated that the consumer won a sweepstakes and that it totaled 6 million dollars and she was the grand prize winner. She stated that she didn’t enter any sweepstakes. He informed her that it was in the newspaper and asked her does she not read her newspaper because it was advertised it in the newspaper. She told him that he could keep the money and he told her that he knew she needed the money. She then called the newspaper to see if it was in the newspaper and they told her it was not in there and they would never advertise anything like that.

He would not give her the information on how it would take place. He said he would have to talk to the IRS for them decide how much she would pay in taxes. She then she proceeded to tell him that he was committing fraud. He then stated she sound agitated and let her go.

was contacted by bob cleveland of the american sweepstakes company that we won 8.9 million. all we had to do is send 399.00 to a lee cleveland in palms springs via money gram. he gave us a claim # batch # package # serial # and more. all we had to do is send money to lee at 1-585-348-8637 and the BBB number is IDBBB5689. they also kept saying this is not a scam. i cant find anything about them on the internet and everything i read says the lotto will not ask for money up front. We did not pay them
