One of the worst things I have been threw in my life. I was scammed out of every dime I had by a man who called himself Joseph .Mcpherson.I will never trust anyone you you have to send money to to get money. I had not much money but I fell for it. Now I have nothing. I lost my family because of this man.

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Today, August 27, I got a call from a private number which usually is the "identification" of my doctor. So I picked it up. The guy introduced himself as John Edwards from the Prize Patrol and declared that I had won $850,000 plus $5,000 monthly for life. As I have played Sweepstakes lottery for almost a year now, my first reaction was "WOW!"

Then the guy provided me with a few numbers: package code and claim code. Then he said that I had to purchase a One Vanilla gift card and put $350 on it. When I asked him "what for?" he explained that this amount was necessary to be there for IRS to be able to transfer my monthly awards. To be honest (although I know how scams work and avoided two of them in the past), this time I swallowed the bate. So I purchased the card and gave this guy the number. My mind started to work sharp when he told me that in order to get the prize I have to purchase an American Gold Eagle Stamp for $854.32 and an American Bonding Stamp for $916.55. I refused. So he said the company, which is American Cash Prizes, will pay a thousand and I have to pay remaining $750 which, together with $350, will be reimbursed in 5 days. When I expressed doubts, the guy transferred me to the "Manager" who introduced himself as David Moor, but I realized that the voice and the speech manner were the same. So I "agreed" to follow their instructions and send $750 cash to the address they provided. (Not to mention that the money from the gift card was already gone: a purchase on PayPal for $349.95. They started to call me again non-stop, probably to find out if I sent the money by FedEx. Instead, I called DC police and am now waiting for them to call me back and record my report. Also, I consulted my bank, CVS pharmacy where I bought the card, the Vanilla gift card company and traced the payment from my gift card was made through PayPal. PayPal was not helpful although the transaction was still pending and could easily be stopped.

The phone numbers these guys called me (besides the private one) are: (876) 351-5500 (Jamaica) and (210) 503-1755 (San Antonio, TX).

The mail address they gave me for shipping the money is:

Got a call from a Carl Johnson 8767962253, a Jamaican number. Said he was calling on behalf of PCH from American Cash Rewards. That I won 2.5 million and a Mercedes. Said the UPS would deliver a pkg but I need to register with the post office and pay 399.00 delivery fee for the car. They are scammers. Please don’t fall for this. This guy was very professional and convincing. He knew my address… I did my little investigation as I’m skeptical about everything. I just pray they get caught! Judith

I was left a message from the American Cash Awards & Sweepstakes Company that I had won $5 million and $500 thousand , plus a 2020 Lincoln and $10 thousand a week for life.
It sounded as fake as possible, and left a phone $ to get ahold of another person. How do these people live with themselves?

Brett – Jul 29, 2020

I was called and told I won 2,500 dollars and his script sounded legit up until he asked how far I was from Walgreens. I asked him which one as we have several in town, but he didn’t answer and just asked again. he wanted a 350$ gift card that said vanilla (I haven’t looked that part up yet) to cover shipping fees for this red envelope he said it was coming in. He also said that I would get a cash bonus of 500$ to cover the gift card price. I finally got off the phone when I said I had to get dressed and I would call him back. The company name is American Cash Awards, and the phone numbers I was given are 929-259-5986 and 717-256-2248. I was given office codes, phone numbers, and tracking codes for my package as well as the choice of a private delivery or televised with a state attorney present.

Identified himself as David Michael from phone number 217-247-3470. Stated that we had won 1.8 million dollars and a Mercedes car. Asked us many questions about our financial status(we lied on every question) I finally told them I would let my FBI friend investigate them to see if they were legit. He said he would have his boss call me and I have been getting several calls from different numbers ?+1 (876) 336-2595? and ?+1 (786) 540-3447?. This is the 2nd time in 6 weeks he has tried to get me to send him money that I won’t do.

The caller identified himself as Attorney Jake Anderson. He gave me a package claim number and a prize listed number. He told me I had been placed in a raffle for senior citizens and I won the 2nd prize $850,000, and two shopping gift cards. He also said something about receiving $5,000 monthly. He mentioned a P14 form for the IRS so that they would know how much in taxes should be paid on the prize. He wanted to know if I was over 65 and if I were married. He said American Cash Awards held the raffle with 152 people’s names. I called him back to see if the story would continue, it did. He said the prize would be delivered to me in the form of a cashier’s check. I refused to confirm my address or my age, though I did tell him I was married. While talking to him, I was checking out this organization on the internet. I came to the conclusion this is a scam. I told him so and told him to take my number off his call list and never call us again. I did not give the caller time to request money from me.

This man’s name (supposedly ) is Garfield Wilson. Stated that I had won they are full of $4.5 . He said my name had been published on the internet, and they were calling because I had not claimed my prize. He also stated that he was the Lottery Commissioner. Today is Monday, so this is the first such call this week . Last week I had 3 similar calls. One claimed to be from Publishers Clearing House. I go along till I get all their info, then I laugh and tell them they are full of ****. They acted as though they are so offended . They even throw God into the mix. In this my cost was $1250,00, of which

They would pay 75%. I was to send it FedEx or USPS. This is money would go to the IRS to pay their cost.

They called and said I won 2.5 million, a Mercedes, and $7,000 a week for life. All I had to do was get a $500 Amer Express card for CVS. I can’t believe I fell for this. But I did and after 2 hrs on the phone, they wanted $10,000 before they could deliver my prize. I said no and hung up. Then I checked my Amer Express card and the $500 was gone. The phone number is 806-402-6492 !

A few days ago I was called and informed that I had won 1.5 mil in some International Prize contest. Told them I wasn’t interested and hung up. They called back. I told them to call my local police dept and have them call me. They said fine and asked three times if I had caller ID. They said I’d be able to tell that it was from the police by the caller ID. My neighbor’s teenager had shown me how one can get the caller ID to show any number and identification they wish so I knew that’s what the scammers were going to do. Soon I got a call showing the emergency number in another town through which our town’s emergency calls are routed. The person, with the same accent as the previous callers, tried to say he was from our police dept but he couldn’t pronounce the name of our town. I told them they were busted and to leave me alone. Caller ID said Bronx NY.

Today I got a call from American Cash Awards saying they had 1.5 mil they had been trying to deliver to me but that someone had red flagged my account and cancelled the delivery. I hung up twice and he kept calling back wanting to set up a time to deliver my "prize." I told him I didn’t want anyone coming near where I live and he could set up the delivery at our police dept. He said fine and he’d contact me later with the specific time and date. I’m clearly on some list and I wish I could get them to leave me alone! Caller ID said Brooklyn NY.

I asked for her bosses no and name,. she gave me **, I doubt if that is his name, and tele # 876-850-6023. It really sounded good. She got agitated when I started asking her questions and said if he did not return the call it would go to charity. If it goes to charity, then who pays the fees?

Brett – Apr 24, 2020

On 04/24/2020 we received a phone call at 1222 in the afternoon, his name was Benjamin Church. He wanted us to go get a “registration” card, One Vanilla Visa card from Walgreens or CVS. He said they were registered with Homeland Security and would stay on the phone with us until we have the card in hand. He continued to try to get the money out of us until finally he started cussing and told us that he was charging our phone bill this whole time. All of this was after he had called my son 10 minutes before calling me. He obviously was going through the phone numbers because my son and I have the exact phone number with the exception of the last number which is just a couple off from each other.

American Cash Award is the name of the company of scam. They did not want to tell me the name of company I had to keep asking. They threatened to show up at my door and called repeatedly (back to back). They are requesting money to be sent to them and that I would be given back a large amount more of money. They are relentless with their calls trying to get money sent to them. The number they gave me was a texting app number, not a real one. This began on February 4th and I was scammed out of money. I sent a money order to Kissimmee, Fl and also Kingston, Jamaica.

I first received a call from a man claiming to be from the ScamPulse.com in Maryland and asking if I had been informed I was selected to win $100,000. When I said no he told me he would contact this company to call me to get my money. He had only been calling to inform winners of scammers contacting them to take their winnings. The company called with a number from Nevada and told me again what the man before had discussed and said he would call me again. When I looked up the site I found a facebook page for them, but the logo they are using is from an insurance company in Asia that has been around for 60+ years. These callers are obviously scammers and you should not give any personal information to them.
