In April 21, 2016 I received a fax at my job about this vacation company. I should have google them before making the purchase but I didn’t see why they would send a fraudulent fax to the Post Office. So I gave the number listed on the flier (844)859-2101 a call and stated that I was interested in a vacation package for two people. I then gave them my destination, when I wanted to go and who was going to be coming as well. I processed to give the company my debit card information and I then received an email at about 3am with documents that needed to be signed. I called the next day to chose the hotel I was interested in staying at, which I was on hold for about 45 minutes. After about a week of calling, I finally requested to speak to a supervisor and demand a refund. I was told that a refund takes 15-20 days to process. I’ve been trying to clear this situation up since then. I then noticed that there has been fraudulent purchases on my account as well which has now brought my account negative.

I received a fax at my job on April 20,2016 from America Vacation. Seeing that it was sent to my job I figured that this was a not a scam but a legit vacation. I contacted 1(844)895-7936 for the vacation package. The phone conversation was very rushed, but yet I continued and purchased a $675 package. I recently decided to go online and find out more about this company. This is how I found out I was duped. I’ve been contacting America Vacations for the past 3 weeks regarding a refund. I’ve been given the run around. The first week they were saying my refund would arrive in 3-5 business days. The second week it was 7-15 business days. This week, it was my refund got denied twice and I would not be recieving one. I really need help about recieving my $675 back, but I also want to make sure no one else ever experiences this scam.

Fax came into my company from "HR" claiming to be Orbitz with a special promotion for "all employees." I belong to a large education network and I am a new employee and assumed this was an internal promotion. I called the number (844) 859-2105, and spoke with a representative within a minute. They said there were limited promotions left and would not give me much information. He told me he ould hold the resevration with a credit card number and that I could cancel at anytime in the call. Stupid me, I fell for it. He continued to give me limited information and spoke very quickly over the phone. He identified the company as Travelocity and thats when I realized it was a scam. I asked him to cancel the transaction immediately and not to charge me. I recieved an email that day asking me to authorize a $398 charge and a charge on my credit card. I have called the company several times. Whe I tell them they charged me fraudulently and I know they are a scam company, they put me on hold for 15 minutes and come back and tell me "someone needs to call me back." I have called 5 times on different days, same thing every time. I have disputed the charge on my credit card and am waiting for that to go through.

Fax from American Vacations states a certain amount for travel packages; however, once you pay that initial fee, in order to actually book a vacation, you must pay an ADDITIONAL cost of over $1,000 in operational/maintenance fees for an associated timeshare within the specific resort you choose. Initial cost is non-refundable (unless you contact your credit card to report fraud), so many consumers feel obliged to pay the extra exorbitant cost to rent or purchase a timeshare, in order to get something in return for their initial fee investment. You are NEVER told this initially, prior to your initial payment.

Company is America Vacations. Faxed was sent to our office advising a special from TripAdvisor stating that for 5 days and 4 nights all inclusive for $149.00 per person. They were very fast to take your payment info, but when they finally sent the list of hotels, the destination that we wanted and that was stated on the fax was not there. When I called they said that the destination spot was booked and that we needed to wait. When I called back to speak with a Manager, they said that they needed my drivers license or some other proof of identity. I said that I needed to speak with a manager and that I was not going to give me ID’s out. They took my phone info and said that someone will be calling. That is when I proceeded to contact my credit card company, and fortunately, this charge was still pending in my system. Thankfully, the $550.00 was not charged. A replacement card will be sent.

I would like to report a fake Travel company that faxed a flier to my place of work as a memo from HR through TripAdvisor that provided corporate discount packages. I’ve attached the flier here for you. After calling for more information the representative simply kept me on hold so I called back saying I was interested in booking and immediately the Representative said they only had 2 packages left with the corporate deal. So for $445 I could book an all inclusice 4 night stay at a 5 star hotel with any of their locations. I provided my debit card information for the booking. Soon after booking I read some online forums especially through TripAdvisor that list this as a scam. TripAdvisor does not even recognize this company. At the time of booking the vacation they inflate the costs with fees and add ons so the package becomes useless. There is no website provided just the number.

The Department of Veteran’s Affairs received a fax advertising travel specials from "TripAdvisor" for 5 day 4 night all-inclusive vacations for $99 per person plus taxes, fees and airfare. They are very quick to answer the phone and take your money but you’re on hold for hours on end trying to schedule your dates and then they tell you that the location you chose is unavailable and that they are booked out for at least 11 months. When you ask for a refund you are told it’s a non refundable vacation.
