Type of a scam Employment

I was contacted about a job that would pay $*** per hour working as an administrator from home. I was invited to an online interview. After completing the online interview, they told me I was hired and that I would need to purchase some equipment, but they would provide me with the money to pay the equipment from their approved vendor. The asked for my address and told me that they would be send a check out, to cover the equipment I needed to buy. I received the check a few days later, it was in the amount of $***. It was a cashier’s check, drawn on Chase Bank. I was suspicious because the amount of the check was quite a bit more than the equipment they said they told me I needed to buy. So, I took the check to the local Chase Bank so that I could verify the check. The Chase teller quickly identified the check as fraudulent. This company goes out of their way with this scam. When I asked my contact, David Morgan, about the amount of the check he told me that I was to take $*** as a bonus and use the rest of the funds to pay for the equipment. He told me that the funds would be released to me, by my bank and that he would give me instructions on how to order the equipment once I provided him with a picture of the deposit slip. They have a website and everything. It is really an elaborate scheme.
