Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

A friend found the link to this business on Craigslist, I personally don’t use craigslist so I was already sceptical. My friend told me that emails became text messages as a way of communication, & she was sent a check for $3,000. She was instructed to then deposit the check into her personal back account, & to let the hirer(Alex Hines) know once the money was deposited. From then I told her to put everything on pause & report it. I also googled the address on the check, and found that the property is up for lease. All red flags.
