Type of a scam Employment

Employment scam when I asked if they were registered with the ScamPulse.com through Hangouts the person said yes, when I asked under what name they never came back to respond.

They offer a job working at home and paying 30.00 an hr mon thru fri, claiming they are opening a business in my city, also they never asked for any money but they are supposed to mail me a ck so I can purchase the software to do the business. I am thinking not only is this company possibly fraudulent but so will the ck because I would not allow them to direct deposit it I said I wanted it mailed to me because I am the victim of fraud two different times.
