Type of a scam Employment

I was initially contacted for an online tutoring position with this company via care.com. I had a video interview with a man named Roy Sneharthi ([email protected]) and another woman ([email protected]) and was subsequently hired to begin tutoring with a compensation of $20/hr. I was texted usually a few days prior to volunteer opportunities for my confirmation or rejection. I had asked previously about how payment would work and Roy placated me with the response that I would be paid and not to worry about it. I completed three 1 hour sessions on April 15, May 3 and May 10, 2017 and after inquiring about payment on various occasions I was promised payment on the evening of Sunday May 13, 2017 through Venmo. No such payment was made (a total of $60). I contacted my former tutoring client who confirmed a payment of 4 sessions for $90 to the company (3 of which were with myself). I texted the company on May 14 and their response was "this phone number is no longer in service". After asking for clarification I received an automatic STOP text. I proceeded to call Roy Sneharthi whom I had previous phone contact with but the call went to voicemail after a few rings. I left a message and attempted the call again with no success. I believe this company to be a scam and strongly advise that AffordEdu be investigated along with the company’s alleged CEO Roy Sneharthi. This company may also refer to itself as "The Next Generation of Tutoring-Tech".
