Type of a scam Debt Collections

On 2/28/18, a man named Travis contacted myself after calling my husbands phone, and his families phone. He stated that we owed a collection that was sold to them from Wells Fargo in 2011 from overdraft fees and closing the account in the amount of $405. and that they would come to our house and place of work to issue court papers for a trial in Orange. County When Travis initially spoke to me I asked him the name of his business and he told me it was ADR. I asked for a copy of the collection to be emailed to me and when I received the email, the companies name was Meridian Capital Management. Every time I asked for some information from the company they placed me on a hold for an average of 5-10 minutes. I also asked them how are they trying to collect on something that has never appeared on my credit report. I told them I would call them back once we spoke about everything. I then called Wells Fargo directly and asked them if they showed our previous account was past due or delinquent and they stated that they showed nothing in their records. We also contacted the Orange County Clerk of Courts and they said they have no pending court appearances in our names.
