Type of a scam Debt Collections

I received a call from Alltran Health (debt collections) several days in a row from 888-861-6828 reporting I had an unpaid balance for a Heart monitor. I did in fact wear a heart monitor, but as this was the first I had heard of an outstanding balance I refused to pay over the phone and called the Dr office directly to confirm. It was confirmed that I did not owe anything and this was a scammer that somehow found out I wore a heart monitor over a year ago from the phone call.
