Type of a scam Phishing

Person called my cellphone. Normally I never answer a phone number I don’t recognize, however, calling when they did was the perfect moment. I was scheduled to have a cable repair guy come to my house today between 10am-12pm, and they would be calling me about 10 minutes before they were to arrive. So, thinking this number that came up was them, I answered it. Obviously it was the cable guy, but the person on the phone said they were from a medical alert facility. Immediately thinking my wife might have gotten into a car accident or something like that, especially since she drives for a living, I responded "yes" when asked if they could hear me.

There was then a lengthy silence and they then again asked if I could hear them, which made me immediately think this was a scam, but wasn’t 100% sure. I then responded, "I can hear you." Then they said that people my age were in greater risk of falling or getting hurt and I could benefit from a wearable monitor, blah, blah, blah. I then just hung up, but I’m worried that my initial statement of "yes" when asked if I could hear them will now come back to haunt me. I have to closely monitor all my credit card and other personal stuff. Great timing on their part. If I wasn’t expecting the cable guy to be calling, I never would have answered the phone.
