This is the information that I received also through a connection with LinkedIn and when I received his instructions to purchase gift cards after I deposited a check for $2950. Once I saw that I decided it was a scam and I decided to report it. I just hope that my email and phone number is still safe, I really do not wish to have to get a new number and create a new email address. Will I need to do this in order to avoid having my information damaged by this guy? Here is the example of the email sent to me. (This Ronald Harley from A-Closer-Look Mystery Shopping Program. This is a confirmation that we have received your information in our database. Your First assignment will be mailed to you this week. Kindly confirm you have received this email. A check of $2,950 for your first mystery shopping assignment has already been delivered to your address via the postal service (Express). I have attached instructions on how to carry out the survey task, Kindly read the attached instructions and confirm. Thank you.)
