My Story
Cooper is the sweetest boy with the most captivating eyes. He’s just about a year old, but unfortunately hasn’t had the easiest first year of life. He was found as a stray, but has a very resilient and happy spirit! Cooper is a very smart boy and a quick learner. He knows sit and is working on basic manners like keeping all paws on the floor when greeting new people. Cooper walks well on a leash and is working on impulse control. He is learning to sit before we go outside and inside, before getting food, and overall just learning that patience is a great quality to have. Cooper loves to play and always has to grab a toy to take outside with him. He takes his toys everywhere he goes and is really great at self-entertaining. He is still very much a puppy, so his ideal future family would train him, keep him active, and be patient with him. In his foster home, he really enjoys playing fetch, going on bike rides, and taking walks. His foster mom promised him that this summer he would get to see if he likes to swim too! Cooper also does struggle with some anxiety and fear, so his foster family has been working very hard on training to help build his confidence. Any future adopter would need to continue to train Cooper. Once Cooper has been given the opportunity to get his energy out, both physically and mentally, he would love nothing more than to lay with you on the couch or in bed and watch a movie. You may have to turn up the volume a smidge though, because he sometimes snores the cutest snore you’ve ever heard. Cooper has met both male and female dogs and has done great with both! His play style is simply adorable and I think he would really enjoy having a fur sibling that can show him the ropes on how to be a carefree dog. That said, Cooper does need SLOW introductions to ensure a successful relationship for both fur siblings. In addition to Coopers amazing personality traits, he truly has the most beautiful eyes Ive ever seen on a dog. No picture accurately captures the sparkle and color. His ears are also prone to flopping over backwards and my goodness is it cute – hes always in sport mode ready to go! Lol
