My Story

Allow us to introduce the lovely Roxanne. Roxanne is a stunning and fiery feline with a coat as gray has ash and eyes that blaze like hot embers. This dramatic cat has a reputation for being a diva, and for good reason – she demands attention and affection on her own terms. She has begun adjusting to the feline staff but can be fearful at times if she feels her space is compromised. Despite her occasional hisses, Roxanne has a soft spot for her favorite humans. She will lavish with affection and purrs when they’re on her good side. Just beware of her honesty, she is quick to let you know when she’s feeling particularly feisty which may be while shes rolling around meowing! Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am – 12 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12 pm and 2 pm -6 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday – Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
