My Story
This is Andre (named after the giant)! He is a retired tom cat. Andre lived in a very bad neighborhood. He really had to be on his game, fending off stones being thrown at him, living under flea infested crawl spaces, finding food and warmth. We believe he was born a domestic kittens and became feral after being put outside. Andre was considered a community cat was to be TNVR’ed (trapped, neutered, vaccinated, re-released). He was so beat up and showed much pain in his facial area. It was decided it would not be fair to release him back into a rough situation. Lots of vet work, TLC and full dental was done. He is feeling a bit better although it seems he has an old fracture in his jaw. Sometimes you will see his move his mouth in an odd way.
He is only 4 years old and tested a light positive for FIV. This will not effect him in the future. Andre just needs a patient, kind person to give him a safe home for the rest of his life. He is good with other cats.
The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.
