Type of a scam Rental

DO NOT use housesforrent.ws. All the places I was looking to rent in Greenwood, SC on this site appeared to be by scammers. I didn’t realize until I got in a text conversation with a man who claimed the name "Williams" and would not talk on the phone. He did answer at one point with a middle eastern accent and stated he could not talk on the phone, only text. He would not allow me to go look inside the home he was claiming to be renting and started asking for personal information. Thankfully I found the former owner who stated someone had stolen her home information and was advertising it for rent. She stated that one poor woman had even sent him a large deposit over $1,000 before she realized it was a scam. This website is terrible, please do not trust any listing you see on it.
