My Story

Sweet Taliah, her mommy, Torii, and 4 siblings were found abandoned at their previous home, by a Good Samaritan. Torii mommy’s family had moved away and left her outside to fend for herself and her soon to be new babies. They were rescued and quickly placed in one of our foster homes, where they have and continue to thrive.
Taliah was born March 23, 2024. She is very playful and loves toys.
She likes to play on the cat trees and jump and run from place to place with her siblings. They are so much fun to watch and very so entertaining!
She also loves the other  cats in her foster home and plays well with them. She would love a home with playful friends. She has been around and plays with her foster dog sibling, and should be fine with a cat-friendly and gentle dog. She likes to cuddle and likes attention as well.
Taliah is lively, loves playing and also loves a good nap. Taliah is looking for a loving and caring family or person with maybe a feline friend who likes to cuddle and play. Could that home be yours?
The adoption fee for Taliah is $100. All cats and  kittens are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, vaccinated with FVRCP vaccinations and rabies if 4 months or older, dewormed, given vet-approved flea prevention, spayed/neutered if older than 4-5 months and microchipped.
We strive to do all that we can to make sure that we are adopting a healthy and happy kitty into a new home. In addition, all of our  cats and kittens are fostered in either a private home or office setting so that volunteers can socialize the kitties, develop good litter box habits and get to know their personalities to make as best a match as possible with an adoptive home!
 Cat Adoption Guidelines:
You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. Send your application in directly at www.ForThePets.org. You can email us with any questions at [email protected].
This is not a first come process; we try to match the cat or kitten with a home that will be a Forever Home. We are a small group of volunteers that have full-time jobs outside of our volunteer time for the humane society. The time to process an application can vary depending on the availability of the Cat Adoption Team, the information provided on the application (whether it is completely filled out) and the number of applicants for that  pet. We try to process them as quickly as possible.
All of our  cats are indoor cats only unless otherwise specified. We do not allow a cat to be declawed. If you are wanting a declawed cat, please do a search on petfinder and filter to declawed kitties to see what might be available.
We do not fly or ship our cats due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the cat back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.
We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport. If you apply to adopt a cat and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the cat and fill out the paperwork in person.
We can’t provide individual meet and greet sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have plenty of time for your family and pets to visit with the potential new family member before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
