My Story
This is Sparkles, and he is five years old. In a couple of years, he will be considered a senior, and we want to make sure he has his very own home to enjoy again before he gets there.
Sparkles’ story is a sad one; he had a home before ending up in the shelter. With his own human, bed, toys, and food. But his person was getting older and had to move into a retirement home. Though many of these facilities are becoming pet-friendly, for some reason, Sparkles couldn’t move in with them.
So, Sparkles was surrendered to the shelter, placing him in immediate danger, as owner surrenders are instantly put on the red list. He could have been euthanized at any time. Luckily, he was rescued by H3, and now that he has passed through quarantine, it’s time to find him the home he has been dreaming of.
This smart, goofy boy loves attention and is sure to make you smile with his playful antics. Sparkles has a bit of sass, especially around food, so he’ll need an experienced husky person who can handle his food and resource possessiveness.
Despite his occasional sassiness, Sparkles is incredibly sweet and loves to be around people. He’s very food motivated, and his medium energy level means he enjoys both active play and lazy chill time.
Older dogs like Sparkles may have had a rocky past, but they are experts at forgiving and forgetting. Sparkles is ready to put the past behind him and enjoy love and cuddles for the rest of his days. Are you ready to be the hero in his story?
