My Story

Meet Sonic! He is a one-year-old bundle of joy who is awesome with other dogs and loves to cuddle. Sonic is looking for a loving forever home where he can enjoy family time and get lots of affection. He has had good interactions with other dogs but has not interacted with cats. He has done well with children, but may do better with older children because of his energy level.
Estimated Breed: Pit Bull Mix
Personality: Friendly, affectionate, playful.
Leash Manners: Pulls on leash a bit, but easily trainable.
Favorite Activities: Playing with dogs, cuddling on the couch, exploring new things during walks.
Training: Has done well in a crate, knows “sit”.
Foster Notes:
Appeared to be fully house trained, he didn’t have an accident while in his foster home.
Sonic did great with the other dogs in the home and loved playing with them.
He enjoyed cuddling on the couch and getting his neck and chin scratched.
He was well-behaved, allowing for showers and ear cleaning without fuss.
Slept perfectly through the night in his crate, as long as he could see his foster mom.
Didn’t bark much, even when the families other dogs did, and was friendly towards other neighborhood dogs and people.
Volunteer Notes:
Good boy, gentle & Strong, loves people!
“Very happy, loved playing fetch and getting pets.”
*Just a heads up, the way dogs behave here at the shelter might not be exactly how they act in a home environment. Dog behavior can change once they find their forever family. These are just our observations from their time at the SPCA of SWMI.*
