My Story
Sapphire is a female Rat Terrier mix who is around 4 months old (DOB 4/5/2024) and weighs 6 pounds. Sapphire was an owner surrender from a property overrun with many dogs who were not getting great care.
We have vaccinated her, had her spayed, examined by our vet and all the things to make her a great pet. She’s nosy, playful, active, with no sense of personal space……so a typical puppy.
Since she is still a puppy, she has a clean slate and you can train her properly. She hasn’t learned many bad habits and hopefully won’t remember how her life started out.
Adoption fee is $400
All Ashland County Humane Society animals’ adoption fees include:
~spay/neuter
~micro-chip
~de-worming
~vaccinations, including rabies
~heartworm prevention

We are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference. We do not have the volunteer manpower to show animals to non-approved applicants. If your application gets screened and approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and you can decide if this is the right pet for you.
