Type of a scam Phishing

We offer handyman services. The customer started a text conversation saying that he needed some tile work done on his home. The conversation was weird all the way through and screamed "scam" from the beginning, but this last text summed it all up:

"Alight i understand you will be needing the key to go inside for the estimate. i will be making an upfront deposit of $1500 to you first, before you will go work on the estimate because the key to my house is still with the Electrician that just finish working for me in my house due to his completion fee am yet to pay unfortunately he need me to pay his fee before he can release the key"
