Type of a scam Phishing

I got a phone call on my home phone. The person asked for me by my first name and then I could not hear anything. The person then said, "This is Roger, can you hear me?". Not knowing about the scam, I replied ya. He said that "This is Universal ??" . I quickly replied not interested and hung up on him. I tried to call the number back but the line was garbled and it was a woman’s UK accent.
