Type of a scam Debt Collections

Received a phone call trying to locate my wife but under her maiden name from "Sarah" no other details. Phone call sounded ominous and threatening and we have been married awhile so this was odd. I called back and they would give no details unless I gave an SSN, wrong answer. The only info I did get was this was a debt matter and that the company name was "SMR". Person knew my name and phone number and looked up the account using my phone number, also odd. Person told me he was Dan at ex 318 and I should have my wife call him to resolve the matter. After doing some digging the phone number is the same as current phishing pop-up virus, that’s not good, and the company has other scam reports here on ScamPulse.com website with different phone numbers but the same story. Beware of this scam!!!
