I contacted the website through the form and was then contacted via email by the scammer, then text. We agreed on a puppy, a price, and shipping details. Everything seemed okay at first, but after I sent the money I got a really bad feeling in my gut. I then did, admittedly, what I should have done before but was too caught up in puppy fever to adequately do and did some deep research, which led me to discover it was a scam website. Thankfully, I was able to recover my money due to the lateness of the hour when I made the transfer (Walmart Customer Service was almost closed and would have been by the time anyone got there) and my realization shortly thereafter. I called and canceled the transfer and will going to retrieve my money in the morning.

I was shopping for a puppy online, contacted the company online, and they responded via email. They wanted me to send a money gram, western union, or walmart to walmart. I called to pick a date for shipping, the man that answered has an accent that did not seem right for Virginia. He said the puppy is 50% off, because it is already 10 weeks old and that he would ship the puppy for free, because he had coupons for shipping.He encouraged me to put a deposit down. I told him that I would have to speak to my family before sending the money. I told him that I was not familiar with his forms of payment. When I respond to his email, stating that I would rather pick up the puppy in person, he would not respond.
