Type of a scam Tech Support

All of a sudden a pop-up on my computer claimed they had noticed a threat and that I needed to call this #. The error message even looked liked a Microsoft error and after installing Microsoft 10 just a few days ago, I was tricked. I called the # and let a supposed company "Cube Solutions" remote into my computer to "fix" the threats. I was thankfully encouraged to shut down my pc and called the bank to cancel the payment of $199, which since it is was processed on a Sunday, I may be able to reverse. I’m going to take my laptop to the Geek Squad to see what they can save on my lap top, if anything. I have no idea how much information they have received but I’m extremely nervous and have already changed all banking passwords, email passwords, etc.

This was also reported on http://answers.microsoft.com by another victim on April 28, 2016:

My husband’s computer froze up, and he got duped (I think) into calling a number that was supposedly Microsoft Tech Support, and was directed to a third-party vendor to have his system de-bugged and "fixed."

I think he was scammed. They charged him $340, which included a 1-year service contract. There is supposedly a refund policy, but he let them access his computer remotely. So even if I cancel this, I assume at this point that they’ve infiltrated his computer and our network. If so, what should I do? Is there any way to "undo" this?

I was scammed. I was charged $199.99 with a $3.99 foreign transaction fee which included a 1-year service contract. There is supposedly a refund policy. I let them access my computer remotely. I assume at this point that they’ve infiltrated my computer and our network. They kept telling me to call them for any issue for this year and if I ever got another pop up.

From what I read online, this is a total scam. Here is a link from the Microsoft Community pngage: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-security/are-cube-so… a New Window.

How can I get my money back, rectify my PC and ensure no one else will get scammed? Now I have to do all the work to clean my PC from this scam!
