My Story
Meet Posie!
Posie is a spotted pit bull mix who arrived at the shelter in late May. She is heartworm positive, but receiving treatment at the shelter. She is spayed and is eagerly searching for her new home where she can share her affection with a lucky family.
Posie is known for her incredibly affectionate nature, striking the perfect balance between calm and playful. She adores snuggling with her human, cherishing those quiet moments of closeness that strengthen the bond between dog and owner. She has met an 8 yr old and had impeccably polite manners.
With her positive experiences in public places, Posie demonstrates nice manners when out and about. She’s a joy to have around, whether you’re out for a stroll or enjoying a day in the park. While Posie may have a slight pull on leash, she is highly treat motivated, which makes her a breeze to train. With a little guidance and positive reinforcement, she will quickly master leash manners and any other commands you’d like to teach her.
As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it’s a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
