My Story

Hi! My name is Oro and I am available for adoption. I was brought into the shelter by a good Samaritan on May 20th, 2024. I weigh 64 lbs and am considered a large breed dog. I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to sit, stay, come, and down. I’m very trainable due to my high food motivation; though I do need to learn some manners on how to take my treats gently. I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home! I’m not the most independant fellow so it would be nice to have someone around most of the time. Although I love to be a cuddle bug, I am all muscles and all energy, so a family without young children would be a great home for me. I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. My caregivers have observed that I might not get along with other animals. I may do best as the only  pet in my new home. I just want all of your love and attention please! So this means that dog parks are off the list of places to take me; but that’s okay because there’s something called Sniff Spots! This is like an AirB&B for doggies to hang out at all by themselves (with their people of course), without the worry of running into strange doggos. These kinds of places would allow me to get all of my energy out, sniff everything I want, and they even have doggy pools sometimes!! Isn’t that great?! I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!
