My Story
Meet Milton – an energetic dog ready to be your buddy! Milton is a playful, almost one-year-old pup who is still learning his leash manners but has already made great progress. He is known as a quick and responsive learner, especially when treats are involved. Milton has been participating in doggy playgroup and benefits from lots of exercise and activity, including food dispensing toys he can lick or chew. After expending his energy, he will love to receive some pets and scratches from you!
Milton would probably do best in a home with kids ages eight years and up.
Milton needs to meet other dogs one-on-one first. Our staff would love to help make introductions!
An Admissions & Placement Specialist can give you tips to help set Milton up for housetraining success.
Milton would benefit from an adopter who can provide training to become his best self! Milton would benefit from an active adopter who can keep him busy with fun and exercise!
An Admissions & Placement Specialist will be able to provide you with information about Milton’s medical needs.

*The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.*
For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps.
**The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet.
Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**
