My Story

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?
Hi! I am Millie!
ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL?
I am a very sweet little girl.
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
I am approximately four years old as of May 2024.
WHAT BREED ARE YOU?
I am a bully mix.
HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?
I weigh approximately 40 pounds.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?
I happen to think I am pretty darn adorable, and I bet you’ll agree! I am a stocky little low rider with a silver coat, a blocky head, a huge smile, and heart-melting eyes.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT?
Eat? Yes, please! I like to eat pretty much anything you offer me, so foster mom says I am currently on a diet (whatever that means). I love my kibble and will gladly accept any treats you’d like to give me.
WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE?
I have heard foster mom refer to me as a “house hippo.” I am super laid back and easygoing. I am happy just hanging out on the couch cuddling with my people.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY:
My perfect day would certainly involve some food, of course. But other than that, any day where I am able to be close to my humans is my dream. If cuddles are on the agenda, I’m all over it!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY?
I enjoy small stuffed animals and benebones.
DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS?
I do not know any super fancy tricks, but I am very good at the basic “sit.” And I am trainable if food is involved! Let’s give it a try!
WHAT SCARES YOU?
The only thing that scares me is going into my crate, as it gives me a little anxiety. I would rather be out with my people.
HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN?
I live with an 11-year-old foster sister who always has her friends over. I love all the attention and am definitely a crowd favorite!
DO YOU LIKE  CATS?
I have three cat siblings and I pay them no mind at all. When I am curious, I will give them a sniff and say hello, but otherwise they do not bother me.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER  DOGS?
With a proper introduction, I may do well with smaller  dogs but can be selective with all dogs. If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t mind being the only dog in the house. More attention for me!
IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE?
I would love to be anywhere close to my humans… Ideally close enough that they could rub my belly!
HOW IS YOUR HEALTH?
My back legs are a little bit wonky, but I get around just fine. Overall, I am healthy and happy.
WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION?
I live with my foster mom and my foster (human) sister, three resident foster (dog) brothers, and three resident (cat) brothers. My closest companions are the humans. I love hanging out and cuddling with them.
WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE?
I hang out in my crate unless foster mom is just leaving for a very short time.
WHERE DO YOU SLEEP?
I sleep in my crate like a good girl.
DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH?
I don’t mind walking on a leash. I don’t need long walks, though. I’m more of a “let’s hang out and cuddle” kind of gal!
DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
When I have to go in my crate, I am pretty vocal about my displeasure with the situation. I will eventually settle down, but I need to make my feelings known first!
ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)?
I am very good about letting my humans know that I need to go out to potty! As long as I have regular potty breaks, I won’t have any accidents in the house. Please be patient with me as I learn where and when I will potty when I come to your house.
DO YOU LIKE WATER?
I am definitely not built for water activities. I should be kept safe from pools and other bodies of water. Remember, they call me a HOUSE hippo… I am not one of those hippos that like the water!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY?
I love my foster family for taking such great care of me! They love me and cuddle with me… and FEED ME!
WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE?
I don’t remember exactly what happened, but I ended up in a shelter before I was rescued by NorCal Bully Breed Rescue and placed in my wonderful foster home. I feel safe and happy here, but I would really like to find a home of my own where I will be loved and cuddled forever. Will you please be my forever person?
