My Story
Lil Boy recently came to ARC because his owner could no longer care for him. He adjusted quickly and found his favorite resting spot on a condo near the door inside the cottage where he can watch everything that is happening both inside and outside his house. He does not mind being picked up and cuddled. He also enjoys quality lap time with gentle stroking and petting. Come meet Lil Boy! Share a little cuddle time with him and we are sure you will want to take him home with you.
Lil Boy is FIV positive. FIV in cats is similar to HIV (the human immunodeficiency virus) and causes a feline disease that is similar to AIDS in humans. Although FIV is similar to AIDS in humans it is a highly species-specific virus that infects only felines. While there is currently no definitive cure for FIV in felines, with proper care there is no reason a cat infected with FIV cannot live a very normal, healthy life for years — if managed appropriately.
