My Story
Hey there! My name is Lemongrass! That’s right.. Lemongrass. Quite catchy.. Isn’t it? ? Now at first glance, I may look like a senior dog who fell into a bag of flour, but I’m not! I am actually a 2-year-old rottweiler mix with a skin condition called Vitiligo. I cannot be exposed to the sun for long periods of time. But, it’s okay! Because I love rolling in the grass at dusk light. However make note, this also means that I will be on medication for life but, hear me, this also means my condition is manageable, so my foster family are optimistic and confident that I will comfortably live a long and healthy life! Now, my ideal home. Someone with Rottie or large breed experience. I have been through quite a bit of trauma in my early life, but I am a HAPPY BOY! But, I do require an adopter who understands the attitude of my breed. I THRIVE with a handler who has the confidence to lead and direct me. I’m also partial to males and people with a calmer demeanor. I would love for you to allow me to build trust with others in my own time. Now I have not been exposed to other large dogs so I don’t know if I can make a friend yet. I had to be alone during recovery. But just to play it on the safe side. No small kids, small dogs, or cats. Preferably, kids 14 and older. To conclude, I am a 100% companion dog.
