My Story
In June of last year, I found KC running through my neighborhood. After looking for an owner and not finding one, I had her spayed, updated on vaccines, and micro chipped. She was heartworm negative and I started her on heartworm prevention. KC is a very energetic, dog who plays hard with my female 90 pound dog. She has tried to be the leader of the pack and can be bossy with two of my other females. They are the same size as her. KC has been great with my grandson however, she can be quite energetic and tends to nibble, so no small children as she might just push them over and/or pinch them. KC loves to be outside going on long walks, and playing in my large fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot privacy fence, I am not sure how she would do with a chain link as far as going over. She is a prancer (like a gazelle). She is not aggressive to other dogs when I’m out walking, but definitely wants to meet them. She was resource guarding with food when I first got her and has shown some signs of it in toys so she is crated when she’s fed to avoid that. As far as toys, I only have one dog that will play with the same toys. She plays nice for a minute but always takes the toys and one time my other dog was mouthy and she didn’t like that. Had to break up a spat. KC doesn’t always want to share. She has been good with my cats.
KC needs someone who is very active, has a larger fenced in yard, knows how to handle resource guarding, and that she needs to be mentally stimulated so she doesn’t destroy things from boredom. She is a huge people person (loves to snuggle and loves to play fetch), but also likes a friend to run with. Very sensitive and loving dog.
