My Story

DRACO is 6 years old, and about 52 lbs. He seems to gravitate towards women, and he adopts his person. Draco is velcro, without being needy. He is the pup who follows you everywhere, but doesn’t impose on your space. He is very very loving.
Draco had been a street dog, who started out a bit hyper with no manners. Per the stability provided by his foster, his energy level has settled into a fairly calm one, and now that he has learned manners, he is a true pleasure. Draco likes to chill, and follows the lead of whatever human is in charge. He is very easy and pleasant to be around.
Draco enjoys walks, eating time, and play with his canine friend, Star (who is also available for adoption). Walks are something this sweet boy looks forward to. His foster has a small pond, and he loves the water! We imagine this boy would love going out on outdoor adventures, and/or regularly enjoying quiet walks in a nice park or neighborhood.
Mr Draco loves to eat. He loves his treats (including chicken feet), and in full transparency, pretty much eats anything that smells like food!
Draco gets along well with his small circle of doggie friends, and will be testing soon to see how well he is meeting new dogs outside his circle. Draco is cat-neutral. He basically ignores kitties. He is both house and crate trained. He is also affectionate and loves having his face caressed.
We wonder if he had been abused or mistreated, as he is uncomfortable at the sight of a broom or mop, and will quickly remove himself from wherever it might be. This boy is still building his confidence, and reassurance goes a long way with him. With that reassurance he can learn anything and break through his comfort zone. At the same time, Draco acts like your body guard (quietly following you around), and alerting you with a bark to any strange sounds or people.
We are seeking a home where he can love and be loved, where he can be a companion and friend. He’d also love to go out on car rides, and out on regular walks, and guess what, you don’t even have to be a good cook. He’ll love whatever you feed him! He will love you, and protect you, without being too protective.
