My Story
Meet Dakota! Dakota was found by one of our volunteers crying and all alone in a neighbor’s garage. She was so friendly and cute we were surprised no one claimed her – so we did!
Dakota LOVES to carry balls and springs in her mouth. She bats at all the ribbon toys and also enjoys watching the birds and squirrels outside the window. She plays well with the two kittens in her foster home.
We believe that kittens are happiest when they have a feline friend so Dakota will need to be adopted with another kitten here or go to a home that has an existing, playful cat. She would LOVE to be adopted with one (or both!) of the kittens she is being fostered with, Aldrin and Cobbler, who are both available for adoption!
Dakota has an approximate birthdate of April 22, 2024. Her foster mom expects her to be a small to medium size as an adult! She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $120.
If you are interested in any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, please go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4. Dakota is currently in a foster home so to meet her, you would need to fill out an application first. She is hoping to meet you soon!
Please note – we only adopt to those who live within an hour drive of Grand Rapids. For the safety of our kittens and for children, we do not adopt kittens under six months old to a home with children under the age of 6.
