My Story
Approx. DOB: 7/4/22 Approx Weight: 60 LB
Adoption Fee: $350 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone’s happiness!
Boom got his name from his original owners because he was born on the 4th of July.
Boom is a gorgeous tri- color collie! You will find very few, if any Collies in rescue groups. One thing we have learned about Collies from our Founder adopting one is they can be very sensitive. They get their feelings hurt if you raise your voice to scold them for a no-no, like staying away from something that could hurt them ,etc. It can take a few hours of coddling them before they forgive you.
From a doggy Collie mom I have to say they are the easiest dogs to fall in love with. You will always want a Collie in your family after getting your first one.
Boom loves everyone he meets big or little, loves dogs!
He is a Collie so he is vocal and will herd you if you run, although he does very well with young kids I wouldn’t advise a home with kids under 7 as he herds and gently jumps up when he does. He is house trained and kennel trained, walks very well on a leash and has an amazing recall to his name. Boom loves to cuddle and sleep right next to you. He does need daily brushing and someone willing to groom him every 8-10 weeks due to his very dense coat. He is an absolute doll!
A fenced yard is best for Boom as he is young and active! If you don’t have a fence then daily walks, jogs or running would be needed.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
