My Story

7/21/24. Hi everyone it’s me ATTILA DIANE!  Doberman Rescue League, Inc. with the generosity of Brittany Wolf Stiles and family rescued me from the Bahamas. As you can see I have gained a lot of weight since Marinella carried me off the plane and am doing great right now. I’m a unicorn Dobie, meaning I like dogs, CATS and kids and I’m also sweet as sugar.
I’m a gentle quiet girl with so much love to give. I’m already spayed so just need a calm place to finish up my heartworm treatment and then will be as good as new. I may not be purebred but I promise you I am 100% lovebug. So if you’re looking for a petite sweetheart to foster/adopt that gets along with dogs, cats and kids I’m your girl. PLEASE and Thanks. Love ATTILA DIANE
5/27/24. When Chella Phillips contacted us about a Doberman left tied to her gate in emaciated condition, we knew we had to help. She was taken to the vet over in Nassau and she is Heartworm and Ehrlichia positive. X rays confirmed no cancer but she had a rod placed in her leg, differently than a veterinarian orthopedic would do.
Through the generosity of “Stiles Construction” we were able to get her stateside.
Our vet confirmed her Heartworm status and Ehrlichia. She has a unregistered chip and with prior surgery, she belonged to someone at one time. She is around 2 to 3 years old. She is extremely underweight so until she is a healthy weight we can’t see if the rod in her leg can or needs to be removed. It is affecting her knee but the bone has grown around it. But other things need to be addressed first.
Her new island name is “Attila” and she is also named Diane after our long time volunteer Diane Tabar Wolf, who passed away suddenly a few months ago and is very missed.
We know “Attila Diane” seems to like other dogs and
we are seeking a foster in the South Florida area.
Donations towards her care are appreciated. Thank you to everyone and God Bless. Special thanks to Marinella Pantalena for being her escort.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster – some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
