Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Put furniture on Craigslist. Got response through CL email relay, respondent said to text them back.. they wanted my name and address.

Via text, they told me they would send me a cashier’s check, that once I cashed it they would send a mover to pick it up. Odd that someone would do that for a $400 couch. Anyway, once I agreed, they then inform me that the mover’s fee would be included in the check. This finally tripped my internal scam alert. Searched online for "Craigslist Pay the Mover Scam" and got a bunch of hits from private citizens, BBB, etc. describing the same characteristics as my "buyer". I then texted the scammer back that the deal was off.

Really disappointed as my previous experiences with Craigslist has been good with no scams.
