I received six phone calls yesterday afternoon and one today from Apple. They were robocalls on my home phone. I let the calls go to my answering machine. Told me not to use my Apple account until I talk to Apple company. Wanted me to Press one. I don’t have an Apple account. I did not press any numbers or answer the call. It wanted me to call back phone number 315-232-8257. I did not call the number. The calls came from several similar numbers in my caller ID. 757-595-9431.

Phishing scammers contacted me from Apple Care with the AppleCare real number 1800 275-2273. They said the my IP address has been compromised and that there were many attempts from logging in internationally from Russian and China from my iCloud account. They asked me to run a scan on my computer showing all of the hackers on my computer and showed Tiny bank malware on my account. They said there were 72 hackers on my IP address and that I would need to purchase gift cards in order to trick them to get the number of hackers down. Each gift card was $500. After 4 days I had purchased 70 gift cards totally $35,000 from my debit card, my credit card and another debit card as well as $2500 in cash. Each time I purchased gift cards in the amount of 10 cards, they would then run the scan on my computer showing me that the number of hackers went down. I believed them because they gave me Apple credentials and they even gave me an Apple ID to lookup online.

Caution: Auto-dial bot leaving a message on my land line stating something about my iCloud account having been compromised. The recording does NOT leave a call back number. You are supposed to press 1 to speak to a rep or 2 to disconnect. My phone’s Caller ID shows call initiated from "Apple Corp" and that number *does* ring through. Apple has already set up an outgoing recording to say that you should disregard the call, that they would not contact you by phone about your iCloud account.

I received a robocall supposedly from Apple. The recording stated to not get on my I pad. Something is going on. Could get my personal information. . Then it stated press number one or call 855-929-0176. I did not press one or call the number back. My caller ID showed a different phone number 866-752-2993. I have an I Pad but I know this is not true. I am also on the Do Not Call Registry. I hung up and called my daughter. She said it is probably a scam.

I received an email to an email address that is NOT associated with my apple account. It is clearly a scam and was routed to my junk folder, and I didn’t click anything, etc. The subject was "Your account has been suspended and awaiting your immediate response". The email requested copies of my credit card, billing invoice or bank statement showing my home address, a copy of my photo id. It demanded the info within 24 hours or my account would be permanently closed. The email also had a button to "restore now" that I did not click and the email purported to be from "the Apple team".

I received an email from Apple saying that someone had tried to use my apple id and had made a purchase of a game costing me $99. So I called Apple support, and when the lady said she would refund me the money she took me through a series of steps in order to refund me, telling me actually it was $250. She then said I’d have to go through Apple Pay to receive this refund. I did not understand Apple pay at that time. She stole $250 from me on top of lying to me.
The number I called claiming that they were Apple is: 844-872-5593

We got an email stating we would be getting a phone call from Apple as someone in Mexico was using our Apple account. He called, he is East Indian or Packistaneese, he sent and email with a box to fill in with a number he gave me and of course he was in (I am stupid)! He had an opening page that looks exactically like Apples opening page, there was chatter in the background like it was a business, he started using the computer and before I knew it he had opened an account with Walmart, Shop.com and god knows whom else! He asked for personal information which he seemed to have already (my email, my husbands email, credit cards and he seemed to be confirming these)! I mentioned he was asking an awful lot of personal info. and I asked to talk to his boss and he said okay then he comes back on the line and pretends to be "James":(I then hung up, closed all of the sited he had opened and shut down the computers. He charged $300.00 to Shop.Com and opened a Walmart account. We cancelled our credit cards, alerted our banks and notified all credit agencies. Our IT man was here all day yesterday fixing all passwords and resetting our computers back to Saturday the day before the hacker did his business! If you need any more information I canbe reached at (831) 333-9002. Jill McClean This information applies to both my husband and myself and our business

I received multiple calls from Apple and was informed that my network had been hacked leaving all of my banking accounts vulnerable. I was told I needed to get target gift cards to use the encryption key to manually protect my data. This continued and then I was told that I needed more gift cards to get rid of child pornography that hackers were accessing on my network. At the beginning of this process they “registered” me for the Apple Reimbursement Program.

The representative named "Peter" claims he was calling from Apple. Rep says my Apple account has been hacked. I will need to provide him with these gift cards for me to have my access secured at 100%. Peter claimed it had something to do with my VPN on my phone is the reason why my account was hacked. Peter accessed my laptop using this app which accessed everything, my bank accounts, etc. I really feel stupid I was scammed for this but he swore I would receive my money back. I contacted Apple and was informed Apple would never contact any consumers. I spent $1,400 to have my firewall re-installed back onto my laptop. All of this happened back in October, 2019. The hacker had the nerve to text me on November 3, 2019 after all I have gone through with closing bank account, closing my credit union account, freezing my credit reports, file police report – charged $25.00 to get a copy of it. I filed my home and cell numbers on the Do Not Call Registry. I received 7 telephone messages from Apple, Inc. in which I know they are fraudulent robo calls.

During the last 24 hours I have received telephone calls from Apple (so they say) telling me something is wrong with my Apple device. I have no Apple devices! I finally talked to one guy to tell them to stop sending calls, and he hung up on me! I’ve received more since then. Our daugher in CA and a friend in Iowa are also getting Apple calls. Can we do anything to stop them! We are on the no-call list. Our daughter in CA is also receving these calls from Apple as well as a friend here in Iowa. Daughter has also received calls from Amazon Prime membership.

I was told my Apple account has been compromised, and to "Press 1" to talk to a representative. I talked to a representative, and was asked whether or not I use my phone at home or at work. I said "At home and at work." They asked me, "No, are you at home?" I said, "No." Then, they asked, "Are you at work." When I answered "Yes," the caller on the other end hung up. I am concerned this is a voice recording scam, where my "Yes" answer will be used to make unauthorized purchases.

Robocall from number stating there have been suspicious activities with login attempts to your Apple account. Press 1 to speak to a representative. Press 1, a live person picks up (with an Indian accent) stating there have been 2 login attempts from Russia and Nigeria and that your account may have been hacked. He provides a website for me to access on my Safari browser to go to www.fastsupport.com and provide my name then he will provide a login code for me.
The scammer is trying to use LogMeIn technology to gain full control of my computer or device.
I asked for clarification on how do I know he’s calling from Apple, he says don’t worry, I am totally legit and will provide his ID info, etc. Nothing about this conversation or info he’s able to provide assures me he’s actually calling from Apple.
