Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Placed an ad in my local paper for 2 Humidors plus 15 cigar boxes. Received a response by text to purchase. Gave them my address to mail payment. Received a check priority mail in the amount of $1,800 and a letter stating to contact them immediately for further instructions. The letter also stated that I could take an extra $40 for gas. I was only expecting $400. Company name on check is MGM Resorts Int’l; PO Box 77123; Las Vegas, NV 89177. Contact information on the letter: Email: [email protected] and Phone Call/Text: -1-260-355-5367. They kept texting me asking what was going on and why I had not contacted them.
