Type of a scam Phishing

I received a telephone call from "Purolator" advising that I had a cash advance waiting for me at Purolator. That Purolator had sent me numerous notes on my door telling me about the cash advance waiting for me from my employer. I knew that this was fake. I said that I was self employed. I don’t know the real purpose of the telephone call, whether it was to receive personal information or to receive cash.

I called my mother in ********* SK to advise her of this telephone scam. She received the same type of telephone call about 1 hour after I notified her of the scam.
