My Story
PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE CONTACTING US:
Fitzgerald is a little over 1 year old and is a LOVE BUG!! AND A POWER HEAD BUTT- ER!! He does not like to be picked up, but sit down and he WILL cuddle next to you. Fitzgerald may just be that kitty who wants to be your only love as far as fur kids go, OR you will HAVE TO BE ABLE TO feed him separately from another fur kid and keep food picked up, otherwise Fitzgerald thinks ALL FOOD IS HIS! This is a result of having lived outside for the first 7 – 8 months of his life and a learned behavior of eating food before other cats could get it, until a kind human got him and his sisters to safety. Other than that one downfall, Fitzgerald is a VERY SWEET boy weighing in at 11 lbs. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed and is ready for a stable, FOREVER loving home. He has not been tested with other cats other than his sibling sisters. We think he might do best with an older female feline, BUT would still have to be fed separately. He would probably be afraid of a dog at first, but would probably eventually be ok with an older, docile dog who wouldn’t be in his face and would leave him alone. Older children might be OK with time, or younger children who have been taught to be gentle and give him time and space and not chase him or try to pick him up. We deliver our adopted animals and will adopt to those who live within a 2 hour drive from our Rockford Illinois location. We require our adopters to be home owners, or if you rent, you must be and have been the primary tenant on your lease with a consistent positive rental history, and a verifiable source of income.
