My Story

Luna (aka Jewels) is a mom who lost her kittens suddenly, in her heartbreak, alone and hungry, she followed someone in the neighborhood home and started yowling until they let her inside. That wonderful woman got her to the Meeps rescue.
Luna is a snuggle bug. She loves to have the side of her head and ears pet. You can pet her from head to tail and she will quickly turn around so you can do it again and again. Luna will roll over and expose her belly enticing you to pet her tummy. Beware! It’s a trap! She will reach out with her front paws, bunny kick with the rear paws while nibbling on your hand. If you freeze, the game quickly ends. If you keep moving your hand you become a fun cat toy.
Luna is shy around fast moving people and those of us with heavy footfalls. She recovers quickly, just very cautious. Luna avoids our male cat (Lu). He tries to engage her but Luna hisses and hides from him. She had a period where she hid under the bed but she got past that too. She is a very brave little one.
When Lu isn’t around she just can’t get enough pets! She has so much love and affection to give, she just needs a home without male cats so she can relax and show you what a really sweet girl she is. Given how she braved her way past hiding under the bed and chair, if someone gives her some patience and a peaceful house, she will just blossom.
All of our kitties come fully vetted and health screened including, fixed, vaccines up to date, dewormed and flea treated, as well as combo tested!
