My Story
As a vibrant, full grown 30 lb, 1.5 year old staffy/pit mix, Dolly isn’t your average dog, is she a Lil Smokey? Is she a sea otter? Perhaps a bit of both? She’s had a rough start to her life, found in Tennessee near the interstate at a gas station in horrible shape. But she is quickly learning how wonderful life can be. Her foster family has been loving on her for the past 4 months. He fur has grown back in where she had some wounds.
Dolly has had training to learn some manners and is doing amazing with it. Her foster family with share with you all her hard work. She can be reactive to other dogs but has done a great job disengaging with positive reinforcement. She has an alpha mentality so a home without other dogs or a submissive dogs is best for her. She thrives as the center of attention. If there is a squirrel, bunny or butterfly on your walk, hold on the leash tight!
She LOVES her people, and loves to show them love. She is the ultimate snuggler and will let you know when shes ready for bed with her signature “slow tongue” which she sticks out and slowly pulls back in. She loves long walks, all the treats, bones, and belly rubs. She is house trained, never had an accident, does great in her crate but prefers to snuggle with her humans, under the covers. She will do best with older children as her zest for life sometimes can’t be contained and she starts jumping. Also, home with out cats will be best.
She loves to run and do zoomies, so a fence is preferred for her.
Dolly has so much love to give. She is hilarious, spunky, and has a great zest for life. She’s a VERY good girl.
Dolly is house trained, spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots and ready for you! If interetsed in adopting Dolly please fill out the application at www.bassetandbeagle.org. Her adoption fee is $350.00.
