Type of a scam Employment

Offered a job working remotely from home as a customer care rep. Scammers used a real business and real employee names to look legit (researched the real company online and the people throughout the interview process) – but the emails are not the real employee emails- discovered once I called the corp office and asked for the contact i thought I had been talking to for almost 6 days.

Scammer had used company letter head and valid address and sent real offer letter to sign and return to what looks like a valid company email. Realized it was a scam after a week long interview process via WIRE app but never talked to a real person or met a real person..when it came time to order home office equipment was asked to go to CVS or Walgreens to go buy STEAM gift cards for $150.00 to share back the codes on the back- so the IT dept could order the software for my equipment. RED FLAG. Called the corp office to talk to her- she didnt know what was going on…so my Correspondence stopped.
