My Story
Hey there! I’m Emerald! I am a 55 pound, 2 year old, female Doberman mix. I love exploring, learning, and playing. I am a super smart girl that already knows how to sit and lie down. I am a loyal girl that loves hanging around my people! I am mellow, gentle, and laid back but I do love to run and play when given the chance. I do well with other dogs and would be great with another active companion. Please come to the shelter to meet me!
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: [email protected]. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test ( dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
