Type of a scam Tech Support

On October 16, 2015 my computer received a threatening error message (do not deleat this message or leave without causing damage) with a Microsoft logo claiming that my Microsoft protection had run out and that I must get new protection by calling the given number. I fell for it and was connected to Zye Technologies who sold me a "protection package" and installed it by accessing my computer. I told them that I would pay only with American Express. Numerous times they said that they wanted a check, but ok’d AE and said they would run it in two days, which I found confusing but continued on. After I hung up I researched Zye Tech and found "many scam" reports and I saw the ScamPulse.com grade of D+. I concluded that I had been "scammed" so I had my computer cleaned for protection and called American Express, informing them what had happened and that I had given my AE information to ZYE tech. They suggested I get a new card for protection and I did. As of today’s date I have not received notice of a charge to my AE account by Zye tech.

I believe that I was lied to Zye Technologies, that they intentionally misrepresented themselves, and that they purposely used scare tactics to get my business.
