Type of a scam Tech Support

Approximately 11 am yesterday Sunday 4/22/18 I experience a bright red screen on my computer with a loop message to call a number immediately because my computer has a malware virus.

The initial person was representing Zoho Assist Security Scan identifying as 3rd party virus repair for apple and Microsoft. They identified the virus as Tiny Banker Trojan virus and that 97% of my computer was damaged and 3% security was intact. In order to remove malware I would have to use my credit card for $399.99. Spoke to 2 different individuals with heavy east Indian accents the 2nd person introduced himself as Erick Johnson assured me that this cost covers me 12 month warranty and another issue after a yr will be a 20-$40 charge. He gave me the name of webnet work support out of Florida 1 855) 888-1724 to speak to him his ext is #244886 order #300822407. I was to use "C Cleaner" icon every week also not to use the icon called "Hitman Pro".I received a confirmation email from Econosupport Check out. All during the exchange they were surly I verbalized that I was cautiously wary, they were insulted with my lack of trust.

I felt I was held hostage they said I wasn’t they said they would call me this morning at 830 am to follow up satisfaction of computer work. I sensed I needed to reach out to Geek Squad associated with my purchase of computer thru Best Buy. They confirmed I got scammed, they scolded me for not contacted them first, they stated they would have been able to assist even though I didn’t know they could access this red screen even though it seemed frozen to me. Geek squad said the follow up call Monday morning most likely will be to ask for more money. A call came thru at 0900 this morning insisting that I call them back. I did not
