Type of a scam Yellow Pages/Directories

Attempted to collect $927.00 for supposed directory listing of our company. We do not and have never utilized these services for our business. The caller, Mark Springer of YP Directories claimed that we made a partial payment in January of $469.99 and that the remaining balance of $927.00 would be turned over to collections on 12/02/16. Our company fell victim to the same scam, in fact, in January when a $469.99 payment was made by telephone using our credit card, payable to YellowPages Premium. We noted in our system that this payment was a scam and should not have been made. I informed him that I am aware of this scam and would be turning it in. He continued to attempt to threaten our company’s credit if no payment made by 12/01/16. I discontinued the call. Please note that the same scam was carried out against our company by YPConnects at 225 Franklin #2600, Boston MA 02110 for $450.00 on 08/13/15 and by YellowPage Marketing for $500.00 on 07/22/15 prior to my knowledge of this scam. I had become our office manager less than 1 year prior and assumed that the previous office manager authorized the services.
